Longtime Target Range and Orchard Homes Community Advocate Bob Carter Announces His Bid for Montana House District 98

Missoula, MT – Bob Carter announced he is candidate for HD98. A third generation Montanan and 15-year resident of Target Range, Bob Carter’s other qualifications include being a four term Target Range School Board member, Target Range Homeowners Association board member, Target Range Sewer and Water district board member, and former president of the Orchard Homes Country Life Club.  Bob Carter has been volunteering and advocating in our community for more than a decade.

Bob grew up working on farms and ranches in the central part of the state then attended the University of Montana and earned a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with minors in both Math and Media Arts with an emphasis in finance and accounting. Bob continues to be a life-long learner, community activist, and community volunteer. Bob and his wife Laurie are both small business owners and state licensed foster care parents. With their three teenage sons, they are outdoor enthusiasts, cyclists, and supporters of public lands and public education.

Background on House District 98:

Montana House District 98 is bordered by the Clark Fork and Bitterroot rivers, west of Reserve Street in Missoula.  It also extends East of Reserve Street about 5 blocks, between Mary Ave and Wyoming Street.
